Hello ladies! It’s Kristen, owner and operator of Bridal Styles Beauty. Wife to the man of my dreams and mama to 8 adorable four-legged fur children, Yes 8! In my spare time you can find me fostering bottle baby kittens (is there anything cuter?), spending time enjoying the beach, or getting ice cream with my hubs and Shih tzu Harvey, who is a fan of vanilla soft serve only! I absolutely LOVE what I do and I can’t wait to meet you!
I graduated from cosmetology school as a licensed cosmetologist in Pittsburgh PA in 2006, and quickly began working in a high-end salon providing cut and color for the first few years. I worked among many talented stylists in the industry and have wonderful clients, however I felt my heart was longing for something more. I was introduced to working weddings as a bridal stylist through a friend and was hooked! I was always creating updos in beauty school and found the design process therapeutic! I decided while attending Slippery Rock University, I could still work weddings on the weekends and loved every second of it!
After graduating from SRU with my Bachelor of Science in Safety and Environmental Management In 2012, I was hired as a Safety Manager with a consulting firm out of Wexford PA. I immediately knew this was not my passion and I desperately missed weddings, like really missed the connection with them! This is when Bridal Styles Beauty was born, I decided at that moment, that I had found my true passion and have never looked back.
I LOVE doing bridal hair and makeup and everything about it, from the uniqueness of every bride’s style, the joy shared with family and friends, to the moment she steps into her wedding dress. These experiences are pure bliss for me! This coupled with my love for people and my passion for the latest beauty trends, makes this the perfect mix for me to assist you with your bridal vision and turn it into reality for your special wedding day.
Building this bridal team has been an actual dream come true! I have never felt more fulfillment in my life, than finding other like minded artist who have the passion and heart to make women feel their absolute best and working side by side has been a true gift! Building an actual team and not just a group of freelancers who do not even know each other, is pure magic on a wedding day! You can truly feel the warmth and camaraderie between each other and our clients!
I enjoy continuing my education so I am always on the up and up with the latest bridal techniques and styles to train and share with our team. As a bridal hair and makeup company, some of our favorites styles include traditional, timeless, and boho bridal hair looks as well as trendy styles. Together we will come up with a plan for the exact style you are searching for so you feel amazing on your most photographed day!
